Motorbike rental to Calella de Palafrugell — from Lloret
Calella de Palafrugell is 55 km from Lloret — about 60 minutes by motorbike. The most photogenic fishing village on the Costa Brava: the whitewashed arches of Les Voltes, Port Bo beach, the Cap Roig Gardens and the Sant Sebastià lighthouse in Llafranc. A full-day trip that calls for at least a 125cc — or the CF Moto 650 MT if you prefer the fast road. Book online with no card or prepayment, helmet and insurance included.
Les Voltes
The whitewashed arcaded promenade facing the sea, Calella's icon and the stage of the Cantada d'Havaneres every July. Sunset here is a must, with fishing boats beached on the sand.
Port Bo beach
Calella's postcard beach: sand and fishermen's boats between rocks, with Les Voltes as a backdrop. Calm, shallow water.
Cap Roig Gardens
A 17-hectare botanical garden on the cliffs, with a medieval-style castle created by Colonel Woevodsky. In July-August it hosts the Cap Roig music festival.
Llafranc and Sant Sebastià lighthouse
2 km from Calella, the elegant bay of Llafranc and, on the hilltop, the Sant Sebastià lighthouse (1857) with a 15th-century watchtower and a viewpoint with endless coastal views.
Two options from Coast Rent. Coastal route (the pretty one): GI-682 to Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Platja d'Aro, then C-31 to Palafrugell and the signposted descent to Calella — 55 km, about 60 minutes of curves and views, perfect for a 125cc. Fast route: C-63 to Vidreres and the C-35 / C-65 / C-31 corridor towards Palamós-Palafrugell, with dual-carriageway stretches where the CF Moto 650 MT is far more comfortable. Either way, motorbike parking at the village entrance (the centre is pedestrianised in summer).
Which bike do I need to reach Calella de Palafrugell?
At least a 125cc: a scooter (Kymco Sky Town, MITT URBAN) or the Motron X-Nord 125 trail — it's 55 km each way. If you prefer the fast stretches of the C-65/C-31, the CF Moto 650 MT is far more capable and comfortable. With a car licence (B) and 3 years' experience you can ride any 125cc.
Is the Cap Roig Gardens entry fee worth it?
Yes: 17 hectares of botanical garden above the sea and a unique castle. Entry costs approx. €14 per adult, and in July-August the Cap Roig festival brings top-level concerts (separate tickets). Free parking at the entrance.
Can I combine Calella, Llafranc and Cap Roig in one day?
Yes, they are less than 5 minutes apart by motorbike. The perfect plan: morning at Cap Roig, a swim at Port Bo, lunch under Les Voltes, ride up to the Sant Sebastià lighthouse and back to Lloret at sunset — leave with daylight, it's ~60 minutes of riding.
