Scooter and motorbike rental in Sant Feliu de Guíxols — from Lloret
Sant Feliu de Guíxols is 30 km from Lloret — 40 minutes by scooter on the legendary GI-682, the most famous stretch of sea-view curves on the Costa Brava. Waiting for you: the Romanesque monastery with the Porta Ferrada, the Passeig del Mar and the Sant Elm hermitage, the viewpoint where the name "Costa Brava" was born. With Coast Rent you book online without a card or prepayment and set off with helmet and insurance included.
Sant Feliu Monastery (Porta Ferrada)
Benedictine monastery complex with the pre-Romanesque Porta Ferrada (10th century), the town's symbol. It houses the History Museum and gives its name to Catalonia's oldest music festival.
Passeig del Mar
Elegant seafront promenade lined with plane trees, terraces and Modernista and colonial-style buildings like the Casino dels Nois. The social heart of the town facing the bay.
Sant Elm hermitage
Clifftop viewpoint where journalist Ferran Agulló coined the name "Costa Brava" in 1908. For many, the best panoramic view on the whole coast.
Sant Pol beach and S'Agaró
Fine-sand beach with calm waters 2 km from the centre, starting point of the coastal path that crosses elegant S'Agaró to Sa Conca.
From Coast Rent, take the GI-682 north: you'll pass Tossa de Mar (25 min) and ride the 23 km of curves and viewpoints between Tossa and Sant Feliu — the most spectacular stretch of the southern Costa Brava. Arrival in about 40 minutes. Stop at the signposted viewpoints for photos, never mid-curve. 125cc scooter or motorbike recommended; a bicycle is not suitable for this gradient.
Is the GI-682 to Sant Feliu difficult?
It has plenty of curves and gradients, but on a 125cc scooter at a relaxed pace (50-70 km/h) it's safe and great fun. If it's your first time on a scooter, we'll brief you at pick-up. We don't recommend doing this route by bicycle.
Which bike do I need for this route?
A 125cc scooter (Kymco Sky Town, MITT URBAN) or the Motron X-Nord 125 trail are perfect. If you want to extend the ride towards the Empordà, the CF Moto 650 MT is the most comfortable option. Helmet and insurance are included with all of them.
Can you ride up to the Sant Elm hermitage?
Yes, there is a paved road up to the viewpoint and free parking at the top. The coastal view — where the name "Costa Brava" was coined in 1908 — is worth the climb.
